Want to eat a good lunch?！　＠Minofusa

A few minutes walk from Ueno Station, this old-fashioned restaurant is located along Showa-dori Avenue.

It is a restaurant that serves lunch during the day and izakaya (Japanese style pub) at night, and I like its atmosphere full of Showa-era atmosphere.

The lunch menu used to be 800 yen, but the prices kept going up, and since last year, the lunch menu has been 1,000 yen (still not expensive at all, considering the volume of meat and rice).

Lunch menu choices include Tonkatsu Set Lunch, Meat Tempura Set Lunch, and Katsu Curry.

The “Katsu Curry” I had before was hearty and the curry roux was rich and tasty. It was delicious, but the amount of curry roux was bit too much, and I later heard that the restaurant was “famous in that area for the amount of curry” lol.

I really recommend it if you want a hearty Katsu Curry.

Today, I had the ”meat tempura set meal”.

After a short wait, the dish came out in a big, thick, and substantial style. I knew it was a good amount of food.

The accompanying rice, miso soup, and side dishes were a nice touch.

However, I was hungry and finished the meal as I was enjoying it. Not only was the meat tempura delicious, but the chilled tofu as a side dish was just the right change of pace and a cool rest for my taste buds, making it the perfect match.

The owner and proprietress are nice, the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice too, and I would like to come back to this restaurant when I want to eat a lot for lunch. I think I will order pork cutlet next time!
